Abstract
Due to the excitements caused by graphene, other 2D materials have increasingly attracted fundamental research interest as they could open up unprecedented physical properties that cannot be attained in graphene. Here, we present the progress made in properties of 2D oxide nanosheets, highlighting emerging functionalities in electronic applications. Oxide nanosheets are exceptionally rich in both structural diversity and electronic properties, with potential application in areas ranging from electronics to spinelectronics. We utilized oxide nanosheets as a building block in the bottom-up assembly, and successfully developed various functional nanodevices such as nanocapacitors, nanosheet FET, spinelectronic devices, and artificial ferroelectrics.
