N2 - We developed a 45-Gbaud, 32-pixel two-dimensional photodetector array (2D-PDA) device for multi-core based free-space optical (FSO) communication. In the demonstration using the multicore fiber (MCF) and 2D-PDA in free space, the simultaneous detection of four high-data-rate parallel beams was successfully achieved.
