Abstract

50GHz-spaced 42.7Gb/s x 55WDM signal has been successfully transmitted over 2500km, using optically-bandlimited CS-RZ signal, symmetrically dispersion-managed transmission line and an SPM-based all-optical reshaper with OTDM receiver. The longest transmission for 0.8bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency has been achieved without using polarization demultiplexing.
