Abstract

This paper presents 60 GHz small mobile transceiver (SMT) with integrated IF modem for millimeter-wave over fiber communication system. In this system, transceiver integrates 60 GHz transmitter, receiver, and IF modem in one module. System has the following characteristics: high data rate (155.52 Mbps), small size (130 mm × 80 mm × 33 mm), and pico-cell service area for wireless LAN or road-to-vehicle communication (RVC) in the intelligent transport system (ITS).
