Abstract

The variable DC link voltage system with voltage booster can enhance power and efficiency. In this paper, a design method of voltage control gain of converter of variable DC link voltage system is proposed. The control system is analyzed considering the response from the torque reference value to the DC link voltage, including the influence of the current flowing to the inverter which is the disturbance. From the analysis, an optimal gain design method is proposed for high speed response of DC link voltage and stability. And it is verified by simulation and experimental results of scale down system with a motor rated 1kW.
