Abstract

In this paper, we present the theorem of the relation between the Fourier coefficients and the 3-factor interaction effects. From this theorem, the 3-factor interaction effects can be easily obtained from the Fourier coefficients. Therefore, it is possible to implement the estimation procedures easily as well as to understand how any interaction affects the response variable in the model based on an orthonormal system.
