Abstract

In this thesis, we propose a Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) based Audio Watermarking (DAW) for Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET). With the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), the audio signal can be transformed into frequency domain ranging from low frequency to high frequency. Besides, the high frequency spectrum is less sensitive to human ear. That is the reason why the high frequency component is usually discarded in the compression process. Therefore, information to be hidden can be embedded into the low frequency component to against the compression attack. The characteristic of this scheme is that the user can not only use the DAW to embed the text file in to the audio but also use the text file to be the network IP address connect to the network by the MANET. The contributions of our research are as follows: (1) Found a new way for the text file embedded into an audio signal. (2) The success rate for data embedded and detection is about 70%; and we found the detection correct rate will be affect form the noise. (3) DWT-DWA can be use for the Ad hoc network and could success transform the watermarked data.
