Abstract

Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology is considered as a promising technique for transmitting high data rate at effective cost in the next generation network because of combination of Optical Fiber transmission that provides huge band width and mobility of radio network. However, to take the advantageous of the technology, the kind of carry frequency used is very important. At this paper, a novel configuration with usage of Millimeter-Wave to transmit OFDM signal for utilizing broadband of optical fiber is proposed. The performance of the system is assessed in term of Signal to Distortion ratio (SDR) and symbol error rate (SER).
