Abstract

Recent development of multimedia services with various network terminals has created new problems. One of them is to select a service nearest to a customer's request and to execute it in real time. This paper proposes an adaptive planning system which produces plans to control a network and terminal applications for a customer's directional request, and executes them adaptively and in real time by using multiple agents which generate a reactive plan and a deliberate plan, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed system has been confirmed by using its prototype.
