Abstract

A system was developed to measure the permeability of albumin and inulin across the endothelial cell layer cultured on the surface of porous membrane with the shear stress applied. The measurement system consists of the perfusion and diffusion chambers separated by endothelial monolayer. The permeability of albumin was observed as a function of elapsed time.
