Abstract

Alotamide B (2), a new cyclic depsipeptide, along with alotamide A (1) was isolated from assemblies of marine cyanobacteria mainly consisting of Moorena sp. collected at Kakeroma Is. The structure of 2 was determined by spectral analysis. The absolute configuration of 1 and 2 was analyzed by chemical degradation and modification followed by HPLC analysis.
