Abstract

Japan has been promoting the plan of renewable energy sources expansion and residential PV installation is one of main targets to promote. Therefore the instability of PV and a voltage rise in distribution systems due to reverse power flow by PV are important issues to solve. This paper proposes a new type of distribution system stabilization method utilizing huge data from smart meters which are expected to penetrate. In order to realize the measure, a new approach of distribution systems management is also proposed.
