Abstract

Usability is an important factor of software quality. Our research focuses on consistency, which is an element necessary to develop usable software. However, the realization of consistency is a heavy burden on software developers. To improve this situation, we propose a method to automatically generate GUIs with consistency by analyzing the developed GUIs, extracting the structure and layout rules of GUIs, and then generating undeveloped GUIs based on the details. Our method easily develops consistent GUIs while simultaneously reducing the burden of software developers.
