Abstract

This paper presents evaluation results of the performance of a burst error reduction method (BERM) of a CDMA multimedia system. The BERM is made up with anti-fading technologies including a path diversity reception (PDR), a transmitting power control (TPC) and a couple of the interleaver and the deinterleaver for an error control technologies (ECT). The number of the PDR branch, the TPC rate, the TPC step and interleaver length of the BERM and the service area size of a broad-band data transmission system are evaluated to develop the CDMA multimedia system.
