Abstract

We briefly describe recent results obtained by using the generalized high-Accuracy universal polarimeter abbreviated as G-HAUP. The /-polymorph of an achiral glycine which crystallizes in space group P31 or P32 was found to exhibit laevorotatory or dextrorotatory, respectively. The chiroptical properties and optical anisotropies in chiral photomechanical crystals, salicylideneph-enylethylamine crystals before and after UV light irradiation were revealed.
