Abstract

We have constructed a polarized slow-positron beam generator TOPPS based on the design principle that the beam is bunched and the spin direction is controllable. The positrons from the 150 mCi 22Na are implanted on the tungsten moderator of 10 μm. The TOPPS is optimized to suppress the depolarization of the positron beams by utilizing the programs which we developed to calculate the spin motion of charged particles in electric and magnetic fields as well as in materials.
