Abstract
The bit error rate (BER) of 4800 b/s data transmission in the case of narrowband radio channel spacing of 15 kHz is evaluated by means of computer simulation and experiments. It is shown that high-speed data transmission is feasible using an adaptive error control scheme proposed by the authors.
