Abstract
Dynamics of vesicle deformation in a pulsed electric field has been studied in the framework of perturbation theory. The membrane is assumed to be initially insulating and to become a conductor after a cerain period of time, tp, by electroporation. The dynamical behavior was found to be influenced not only by tp but also by the ratio of the conductivity inside the vesicle and that outside.
