Detector imperfections in a recent scheme for Schrodinger-cat generation

Abstract

Nielsen and M0lmer have recently suggested a scheme transforming squeezed states into Schrodinger-cat-like states. Compared to previous schemes, this one is expected to generate cat-like states with larger amplitudes. Here, we analyze their scheme with consideration of experimental imperfections.
