Abstract

This paper presents a computation method to determine control parameters of Line Drop Compensator (LDC) based on measured data from several sectionalizing switches with sensor installed in distribution feeder. This proposed algorithm could concisely and efficiently determine the control parameters of LDC by using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which is one of non-linear optimization methods based on a concept of swarm intelligence. In order to affirm the validity of the proposed method, numerical results using distribution network model with Distributed Generator (DG) are shown.
