N2 - Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a motile lactic acid bacterium, Lactobacillus sucicola JCM 15457T, isolated from oak sap. Motility-related genes and their organization in the annotated genome were broadly similar to those in the sequenced genomes of related lactobacilli.
