Abstract

In this study, tensile tests were carried out on double edge notch specimens. As the notch root radius varied in a wide range, its fracture mechanism was investigated. The simulation of its fracture behavior by the finite element method was also performed, and then the load-displacement curve was obtained in order to compare the experimental results.
