Abstract
The continuous composite girders are frequently used for railway bridges. The examination of the design technique is not fully carried out and then existing design techniques are expected to be unified. In this study when the tension stiffening analysis is used for the design calculation of continuous composite girders it is shown that the results are not the same as those of the design calculations without considering the tension stiffening effects resulting in the need of more elaborated design considerations. Models used are 2 types in which the bending moment distributions are different.
