Abstract

This paper describes an effective acquisition of tactile information using new Carbon Microcoils (CMC) sensor system. By using mechanical and electrical properties of CMC, this sensor can obtain tactile information from applied force. Experimental results prove the effectiveness of this system and the characteristics of CMC as sensor material. CMC sensor has its own characteristic compared to other sensor and suitable to use for patient robot.
