    Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of dynamic stability on a generator-infinite bus system having a load in the middle from various perspectives. The authors introduce a static, voltage-dependent model of load, and analyze the effects of load characteristic, load flow, and magnitude of synchronous reactance of generator on the dynamic stability from the viewpoint of synchronizing power and damping torque coefficients. The results with multi-machine power system are also illustrated.
