Abstract

In this study, sheets of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) were exposed to various thermal aging experiments, for various times, with and without concurrent irradiation of gamma rays. Following thermal aging, a comprehensive analysis of various mechanical and dielectric properties was conducted. The degradation behavior of XLPE when exposed to adverse environments has been clarified.
