Abstract
The field emission spectra of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) was measured in various conditions of specimen temperature, extraction voltage, angular dependence, and adsorption. The observed spectra indicated that the main peak originated from the inner walls, while field emission electrons came from the surface wall. The Fermi level of the surface wall was found to be different from the inner walls in the field emission condition.
