Abstract

A Group 3 error-free facsimile has been developed for uses in the cellular radio network. This facsimile terminal use CCITT V.27ter modem at 8 phase Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK) modulation and the adaptive error control scheme developed for mobile telephone communication. A image data compression adopts Modified Modified READ (MMR). The data transmission speed is 4800 bit/s and it can transmit a letter size document of CCITT No. 1 chart in 25 seconds.
