Abstract
The exchange coupling and magnetic stability of PtMn-based spin valves were studied by means of iterative magnetoresistance (MR) and torque measurements. Hex reduction correlated with the rotational hysteresis loss. Other than the Hex itself, increasing magnetically stable regions with small Wr/Ke was found to be more significant for an improvement of the instability of the PtMn spin valves.
