Abstract

The exchange coupling optimization on CoPtCrO perpendicular media was discussed. It was shown that at low oxygen gas ratios, the Hn and Hc show similar values and the Kerr loops are very square. At around 1% oxygen gas ratio, the loop slope became inclined and the coercivity increased to greater than 5000.
