Abstract

In this study, a two-stage absorption heat transformer was investigated, which can generate high-temperature steam of approximately 180◦C driven by waste heat from hot water below 90◦C. A model-scale (steam 14 kW) apparatus and a practical-scale (steam 200 kW) test apparatus were designed and built. Test operations of the apparatus were conducted, and the function and effectiveness of the heat transformers were verified.
