Abstract

The ion selectivity of pNa and pK ISFETs using M2O-Al2O3-SiO2 (MAS, M:Li,Na,K) glass for the ion sensitive membrane is studied. The Na plus minus K plus selectivity of a MAS glass gate ISFET depends not only on a kind of alkali cation (M plus ) in the MAS glass but also on the M plus to Al3 plus ratio of the glass. A pNa ISFET using small Lithium content LAS glass shows high Na plus ion selectivity and good stability. A pK ISFET using a large potassium content KAS glass has high K plus ion selectivity.
