    Abstract

The analysis of fault current limiter application to improve the dynamic performance of the dispersed generation system under voltage sag was investigated. The fault current limiter was applied to disconnect the critical loads and dispersed generator from the utility power systems when the power system fault's occurred in the proposed system. The simulation results showed that the fault current limiter was effective for the stable operation of the dispersed generation system, which was subjected to the voltage sag.
