Abstract
A series of out-of-pile experiments on local core accidents were made in simulated LMFBR fuel subassembly with electrically heated 37-pin bundle. Temperature and flow fluctuations were measured at the outlet of the bundle. Statistical properties of the fluctuations are investigated and their basic characteristics are made clear. It is proved that the fluctuations can be represented by auto-regressive models. An anomaly detection method based on the test of the residual random process for whiteness is presented. Main functions of the local core anomaly detection system are described.
