Abstract

This paper analysed the narrow-band interference in the satellite communication systems. Under the background of the project - signal interference suppression in digital satellite communication systems, it built a mathematical model and proposed a new interference detection algorithm, FFT interference detection, in order to suppress the narrow-band interference in the FDMA-DQPSK channel. Compared with the traditional algorithm, the new one improves the power threshold and interference band-width calculation. The detection results were used to design a notch filter, which was applied to suppress the narrow-band interference in the simulation system, resulting in a satisfactory output. Comparison of the output of the notch filter between the two algorithms demonstrates the feasibility and priority of the new one.
