    Abstract

300-GHz multilevel signal transmission over optical fibers and air is demonstrated using advanced optical communication technology including optical frequency comb generation. Local oscillator signal transport over optical fibers to optical-terahertz converters removes the need for setting any terahertz-capable oscillators in the converters. This fiber-remoted configuration with seamless conversion between the optical and terahertz signals is compatible with high-speed terahertz backhaul and fronthaul links.
