Abstract

The cross-sections and the forward-backward charge asymmetries of muon and tau pairs produced in e+e- collisions at {Mathematical expression} have been measured by the JADE Collaboration. The cross-sections, {Mathematical expression} and {Mathematical expression}, are in agreement with the QED α3 prediction. The charge asymmetries are Aμ=-(9.9±1.5±0.5)% and Aτ=-(8.1±2.0±0.6)% in agreement with the value -9.2% predicted by the standard model, using MZ=91.0 GeV and sin2θW=0.230.
