Abstract

In sediment transportation, the particles move in a state of continuous or intermittent contact with the bed. Impinging of moving particles on the bed controls the mechanism. Based on such a concept, the authors construct a stochastic model for impingement and propose a simulation model with dynamic equations of moving particles in the flow.
