Abstract

GEMnet has been developed as a medium for carrying out global research collaboration. To construct a network that can respond to a wide variety of needs and to support tie-ups with partners that are robust technologically, NTT's research labs need to collaborate with U.S. partners engaged in the highest level of next-generation Internet research. Research work is now moving forward in collaboration between NTT and robust partners, partners that identified by linking GEMnet with the STAR-TAP, which is the international interconnection point of the network for next-generation Internet research experiments.
