    Abstract

The hierarchical control discussed in this paper combines both the centralized and the decentralized control scheme. The proposed hierarchical control scheme is composed of two control levels. At the lower level, the decentralized scheme is employed whereas subsystems are coordinated at the upper level to optimize the overall system. This paper proposes a hierarchical voltage control scheme, using voltage sensitivity matrices, which solves these difficulties.
