Abstract

We report on 20 THz-wide optical frequency comb generation for wide-rage tunable MM and THz wave generation. A broadband comb signal was created from CW light by using a Mach-Zehnder modulator and a dispersion-flattened dispersion-decreasing fiber (DF-DDF). A comb signal was drastically broadened to 20 THz by increasing the input power to the DF-DDF. Our method is based on optical modulation using a Mach-Zehnder modulator, so that it is possible to generate comb signals with high-stable and high-accuracy.
