Abstract

Transmission of high SHF band RF signal is considered as high speed radio communication method. The signal has not only high bandwidth but also large free space propagation loss. The radio over multi-mode fiber (RoMMF) can be expected to realize low cost radio signal relay for its radio insensitive area. From these reasons, it is considered that short distance RF transmission over multi-mode fibers employing directly modulated VCSEL as carrier frequency of 28 GHz.
