Abstract
Many energy analysis programs have been developed to calculate the heating and cooling loads of buildings. To more accurately predict energy consumption through the use of energy simulation programs, the selected weather data is very important. Energy simulation programs developed by foreign countries use particular weather data formats. In order to use Japanese weather data in foreign energy simulation programs, conversion of weather data is required. Therefore, in this study, we compared the energy simulation program used in Japan to those used abroad and examined the integrity of the converted weather data. In this study, we obtained almost identical results from the energy simulation program of Japan and the LEED approved simulation program. However, we need to consider the correction value with the appropriate coverage since there were differences in the heating and cooling loads by region. Further, the difference in heating and cooling peak loads in the energy simulation program causes a significant impact on the selection of equipment. Therefore, we think that more quantitatively calculated data is required in order to apply foreign energy simulation programs to Japan.
