Abstract

The Mg/Al layered double hydroxide-deoxycholate intercalation compounds were successfully synthesized by a novel hydrothermal reaction between brucite, gibbsite, and deoxycholic acid. The layered double hydroxide-deoxycholate intercalation compounds showed some important characteristics such as curved platy morphology and controllable basal spacings.
