    Abstract

In this paper, the vibration properties of wooden houses were identified using subspace model identification method. First, using the numerical model of a two-story unsymmetric-plan wooden house, we compared two types of subspace model identification methods, PI-MOESP and POMOESP. Then, the vibration properties of the full-scale two story wooden house, which was used as the test frame for three-dimensional shake table tests, were identified. It is shown that, under severe earthquake ground motions, the natural period becomes about three times larger than the values under low-level vibration and the damping ratio becomes about 20%.
