N2 - It becomes more and more important to consider environmental issues as well as power supply stability or economics in power system planning. In this paper effects of the CO2 emissions constraint on power source composition are analyzed through the screening curve analysis. We calculate the marginal reduction costs of CO2 emissions using shadow prices and compare them with the reduction costs resulting from introducing CCS and carbon prices.
