Abstract
To develop a general quantitative method of analyzing the process of electrodeposition of high resistance materials, the electrical resistance of electrochemically deposited insulating polypyrrole (PPy) film was measured in situ by ac impedance. By considering the potential drop across the PPy film during its formation by constant potential electrolysis, the growth of the insulating PPy film was analyzed, and an equivalent circuit describing the interfacial structure was proposed.
