Abstract

We numerically demonstrate that the spin-gap and the pairing correlation are enhanced, if the band structure is adjusted to become flat at the Fermi level near half-filling in strongly correlated electron systems. We show indications that the incoherent charge transport may give rise to the superconducting instability in doped Mott insulators. Based on the numerical results, we discuss the possibility of flat-band induced superconductivity.
