Abstract

A compound optical component consisting of integral-fiber pieces forming a wavelength-duplexer and directional couplers was developed. Each component is made of only three pieces of multimode fiber; the end of one piece is polished obliquely, with dielectric multilayers (filters and half-mirrors) deposited on the end.
