Abstract

(Figure Presented) Selective removal: Alkyl and phenyl groups were immobilized within an interlayer space of a layered titanate to adsorb selectively and effectively 4-nonylphenol (NPh, in light colors) from aqueous solution. The immobilization of two kinds of functional units in a confined nano-space is a useful way to tailor materials with molecular recognition abilities for a wide variety of molecules.
